Garden Renovation
Not sure if this counts, but it felt like a real renovation/repair! We bought a new house as we fell in love with it, but the garden was a disaster. It was absolutely soaking wet, had terribly laid patio and just felt like it had no soul! I only had a small budget to use on the garden so I decided to do as much as possible myself. Everything you can see in the photos (apart from printing the concrete patio), my wife and I done by ourselves. This included all the groundwork, which was done with spades and a wheelbarrow! We even were able to move the shed using some orange drainage pipe and a broom handle for leverage. We love a bit of DIY, but this was a huge challenge, especially the raised planters, but we're absolutely over the moon with the results! My dad is an electrician and was able to help me with the lighting too, which really adds to the ambience of the garden. We spend so much time in the garden now, it's become our favourite thing about the house. I think it shows that with a bit of self belief can go a long way and that people shouldnt fear DIY!
