Parquet floor restoration

Our dining room in the 1960s home we moved into featured an old, green and brown swirly carpet. We took up the carpet, it was a dusty job! As we went along we removed nails from the underlay. We found many of the individual parquet blocks were loose and needed sticking back down and some needed replacing. A floor sander over some days, brought the floor back up to its original glory, then we filled in the gaps with sawdust and glue mix, before sealing with a protective coat.
