Retro mountain bike refurb, 1994 GT RTS Team

I managed to finally find my child hood dream bike, a GT RTS Team, 1994! Its condition was far from what I dreamed…..this has been stored (poorly) for the last 25yrs!!! I cleaned and stripped back to bare frame (aluminium frame). Starting with 500 grit paper and working upto 2500 grit paper with WD40 on the finer grits to clean and lubricate. Following this were two rounds of aluminium polishing compound, using WD40 as lubrication. In total about 20hrs have been spent on this and I hope you’ll agree, the before and after shots are worth it.
