When renovating our kitchen, we had an exceptionally large window and it made the room seem slightly cavernous, so we hit on the idea of creating half of it as a stained glass effect. As we like to feed our garden birds, this worked on two levels - it let in multicoloured sunlight and it also stopped our garden birds from bashing off the window!
